A word from the Head of Primary

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I pray that you and your family are healthy and safe during and through this difficult and uncertain time of the COVID – 19 pandemic. We can only thank God for His protection, provision and the gift of life in this chaotic situation we are in – the lockdown.

Times such as these demand the need for community and support for one another in whatever capacity that may be. I am sure we can all agree that we have never experienced the magnitude of what is happening in any of our lifetimes.

As we go through this lockdown let us remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear but He has given us a spirit of power, love and a sound mind. This is the same message we should encourage our children with throughout this period.

At this moment in time, we are not sure how long this lockdown will take but what we know is that school will definitely continue. We are committed to ensuring that our children continue to make progress in their learning despite the lockdown.

I, therefore, implore you to do all you can to support your child in continuing to access education to the absolute best of yours and their ability. Routine and a sense of purpose are going to be incredibly important over the coming weeks and months.

The online lessons will run from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a general timetable on this website; and a class timetable provided by the class teacher on our online platform, which the children will follow over the course of the week.

Our advice to you is to establish and then stick to a consistent routine for this. Children need structure, routine and reassurance in times of uncertainty, and we appreciate the efforts you are going to put in to provide this.

Thank you for all you are doing to support learning at home. Please know that you are not alone. We are here to support you in whatever way we can in the current circumstances. If you have any questions or concerns, please do get in touch with the appropriate member of staff via email or phone.

Keep on moving.
