A word from the Head Prefect

Dear TNGS family,

I pray we are all keeping safe and staying home during this uncertain season. It is only by the will of God that we are alive and well.

Many countries all over the world, including our own, are experiencing the disastrous effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it seems to be getting worse as each day goes by. Pandemics are not a new phenomenon to us. As history will show, The Spanish flu which affected 500 million people and killed 50 million between 1918 and 1920 was thought to be the most severe pandemic of the 20th century, but at the end of it all a cure was discovered.

The Psalmist in Psalms 91:5-6 says, “We shall not be afraid by the terror at night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in the darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noon day…” because God will give his angels charge over us.

Information is power and in order to have that, we need an education, we cannot allow these circumstances to deny us the opportunity to continue to grow in knowledge; which is why these online study sessions that have been arranged by our teachers should be taken seriously. This is not our first encounter with the worst, and it certainly will not be our last, but by the grace of God and our efforts, we shall thrive through them all.

May God our refuge continue to keep us. The struggle continues. Keep on moving!
